You can keep a record of farrier visits for each horse by tapping on the Farrier Icon on each horse's Home Screen.

The advantage of using this feature is that the app will remind you of any imminent or overdue visits and you can record notes of any issues.

Recording visits for multiple horses on one date.

When you add a visit record, there is a button on the 'Add Record' screen, which, when tapped, allows you to save the same visit date for other horses seen on the same day.

(NB You need to tap on 'Save' before the records are added.

Interval between visits

If you tap on the clock icon at the bottom left of the farrier screen, you can set the number of months until the next jab is needed for the selected horse. This will then trigger reminders as explained below.

Reminders

If you want to be reminded when visits are imminent, go to the home screen then tap on 'Stables', then 'Preferences'. You can set the number of days warning you require on that screen. (Don't forget to save that selection).

When the visit is imminent or overdue, a reminder badge will appear on the Farrier icon on the Home Screen, the horse's Home Screen and the Horses list.

Don't want to be reminded?

If you don't want to be reminded at all, for any of the horses, set the reminder days to zero on the Preferences screen.

If you don't want to be reminded for a particular horse, just set the interval to zero within that horse's farrier record (the clock icon).

Adding horse records via the visits screen.

Another way of updating the horse records is via the Visits Screen. (For full details se the 'See Also' link at the end of this item).

You can add a planned visit date and select a list of the horses who you want to be seen by the farrier. This list can be amended after the visit, if for example a horse could not be seen for some reason, or a horse was added to the list at the last minute.

Once the visit has taken place, you can adjust the list if there were any last minute changes and save the record. When you do that, the records of all the horses in the list will be updated with the visit date. You can then edit any records separately if there were any special visit notes.
