Before you can use the feed options you need to have created horse records and entered feeds in your feedroom. Once that is done, you can allocate the feeds and amounts to each individual horse for each meal you feed them in a day. This can also vary depending on the day of the week (if for example, you only give a supplement every second day).
By keeping this information up to date, each person who feeds your horses can find out which feeds each horse is on, by looking at the app or referring to lists or tables you can print off from the app.
With a couple of taps, everyone can also let the yard manager know when you are getting low on a feed item so that they can re-order it.
The categories:
For the Feeds and Measures categories you can re-arrange the order of lists used in the app, by dragging and dropping the most frequently used measures or feeds to the top of the list.
To use this area effectively, set up the information in each of the 3 categories above. After you are happy with those categories, you can tap on 'Feeds' in this section and allocate the Feeds, Meals and Measures to each individual horse.
TIP: If you are entering Meals for your horses for the first time, make sure you are familiar with the 'Clone' feature as it will save you a lot of time!
This allows you to view the horse feeds as a table, with each column representing a horse and each row a type of feed.
By tapping on the share icon at the top right of the screen, you can print the table or save it as a pdf or xls file (for input into a spreadsheet).
